As our older children began getting older, we started noticing those in their 20s (well into marrying age) who were still not married, but wanted to be. We began talking to friends from church and beyond and realized it was not a local issue.
We started researching and looking into the reasons why. This film is what we found.
In 1960, 72 percent of those 18 or older were married. Today it’s just 51 percent. Nearly three out of every five adults ages 18 to 29 were married in 1960, but now only one in five is. What is driving this delayed marriage? What must be done to restore God’s vision of marriage in our young adults?
UnMarried: The Rise of Singleness takes a hard-hitting look at delayed marriage in the church today, addressing the reasons why it’s happening and what we can do to restore a Godly vision of marriage in America today.
